Truck mechanic

What you will do as a Truck Mechanic

You perform maintenance and repairs on trucks and container chassis. You also carry out service duties and are involved in various projects in collaboration with different departments. Your tasks include:

• Keeping the workshop and warehouse in order
• Perform maintenance and inspection services and minor repairs on various truck brands.
• Periodic maintenance such as inspection, oil change, filter replacement, air suspension bellows, hydraulic or electrical components, radiator installation and removal, and all common tasks.
• Repair faults in electrical wiring, fuses, plugs, and similar items
• You keep track of time spent and the use of materials and supplies
• Assembling structures

You have experience with all sorts of different vehicles, preferably including trucks.

What you also bring:

• An MBO Autotechniek diploma is a nice bonus, but it's not a necessity. Practical experience is certainly worth just as much in my eyes.
• You possess a VCA certificate or are willing to obtain one
• In possession of driver's license B & C
• You have a flexible approach to work and working hours
• You enjoy working in a team.
• You have a good command of the Dutch language regarding discussing work methods, fault-finding techniques, etc.

The prerequisites are as follows; if you can't meet these yet, it's not a problem, but it's an extra bonus:

• You know the specific regulations of certain car brands and car types regarding oil changes/lubrication and periodic minor maintenance.
• You possess knowledge about the important constructions of several types of tractors and trailers
• You have experience using measuring equipment, reference works, or CD documentation.
• You are familiar with vehicle engineering, tools, and maintenance materials.
• You possess basic metalworking techniques such as drilling, grinding, filing, welding, and soldering.
• You know the checkpoints for inspections and maintenance.
• You recognize abnormalities and wear and tear

The most important thing is technical experience with trucks and that you're willing to persevere. We'll fine-tune your knowledge where needed!
